At Renaissance High School, we have established three on-going priorities:
-
To help decrease the drop out rate for the Bremerton School District
by serving as an option for Bremerton High School, grades 9-12.
-
To provide an effective alternative learning experience to meet the
needs of at-risk and alternative learners.
-
To equip our students with the skills and knowledge necessary to pass
the Washington Assessment of Student Learning.
In support of the above goals, we take pride in being positive and caring
with our students. We offer a safe environment that focuses on active student participation. Due to this culture, we have
very few disciplinary issues.
Our schedule offers classes every other day with no school on Friday.
Students are rewarded for working harder and can accelerate based on their motivation and ability by earning additional points
for additional work.
Twice each week, students have “Advisory” class where they
meet with their assigned advisor who is in charge of their academic program and tracking their students’ progress. This
time is used for team building, emphasizing school culture, and expectations as well as academic progress discussions.
As a staff, we are committed to continuous improvement at Renaissance
High School.
